Apologies in advance for this rather sparse  display!

There are at present no known occurrences of Middle Palaeolithic activity on Thanet.

The lack of evidence may indicate a genuine absence of human occupation in Thanet during this time. Evidence throughout Britain suggests that there was a significant break in human occupation country-wide during the period c. 180,000 - 60,000 BC.

I hope that one day we will get to present some evidence of our distant Neanderthal ancestors.
